Places to see in Wadi Rum Desert

Wadi Rum is a beautiful desert located in the south of Jordan, With beautiful red sandstone mountains, and impressive rock formations. From canyons to sand dunes, to arches, Wadi Rum has something to offer to anyone. 

Every sites are worth visiting, from the sand dune the whole view valley is offered to you. To Lawrence Spring, known as the natural spring. Or to Khazali Canyon, with its Nabatean inscriptions. But don’t miss out on the whiter part of Wadi Rum, with its beautiful views and canyons. 

Lawrence Spring

Famous for its natural source, herds from bedouin families come to drink from it. But it has taken the name from the famous movie of Lawrence of Arabia as the view can be seen in the movie.

Red Sand Dune

Known for its beautiful sand the sand dune will offer you a magnificent view on all the valley of the moon

Khazali Canyon

Walk through the narrow canyon and discover the Nabatean inscriptions, men and women, children, animals and islamic writings can be discovered.

Little Arch

One of the most famous arch in Wadi Rum, you can climb it to the top and take a picture. Whether on the arch of with the view on valley !

Lawrence House

Known to be the place where Lawrence of Arabia was staying, it was indeed more used in movies. As Lawrence was living with bedouins far in the desert.

Mushroom Rock

Natural Rock formation, the mushroom rock is famous for tis shape. Spending on the angle you can also see a cobra head.

Jabal Burdah

Jabal Burdah is known thanks to her beautiful Arch located at 1h30 from the ground. For the one looking for adventure this hike is for you!

Abu Khashaba

This beautiful canyon will take you 20 min to cross. On the other side your guide will wait for you with a board and a beautiful dune to slide down !

Um Frouth Rock Bridge

Known to be the famous arch, um frouth is 25m high and can be climbed to the top to take a picture on the bridge.

Jabal Al-Hash

The easiest hike to do that will allow you to go to a beautiful viewpoint. In 2h30 you will be back at the car.

Chicken Rock

The chicken and his chick can be located in the white desert in the sunset area

Jabal Umm Ad Dami

The highest summit of Jordan will offer you the most beautiful view in Wadi Rum

The dam

Used to give water to the animals, it collects water from the rain and is contained in the dam. Many can be found around the desert in order to help the animals when needed.
