A Magical Experience
We stayed with Mohammed and the team for 3 nights and it was a truly magical experience. They helped us plan the perfect trip including an all-day camel trek, camping under the stars, and a tour through the white dessert including climbing Jabal Um Adami. All the guides were phenomenal from Ibrahim with his camels to Mohammed and his great cooking under the stars. I can not recommend Wadi Rum or Magic Camp enough. We drank our weight in Bedouin ‘whiskey’ (black tea with sage/thyme and plenty of sugar!) and felt truly at home. We will be back!
I visited Wadi Rum in 2019 and I booked a tour with Magic Tours. It was a truly unforgettable experience! The desert is stunning, sure, but it’s the people who you discover it with that count. Mohammad was the best guide I could have imagined. He showed me places away from all the tourists, we had tea sitting on a rock in the middle of nowhere, taking about the Beduin culture and traditions, we had a beautiful lunch in the desert camp and don’t even get me started on the evening! The music, the food, the sleeping in the desert camp… it’s all absolutely fantastic and to me, an even better experience then visiting Petra. I highly recommend Magic Tours to anyone who is considering visiting Wadi Rum. You will feel like home
A truly beautiful experience
I did a one day and night Jeep tour with my best friend in February 2020 and it was one of the best times in my life, honestly. Wadi Rum is the most beautiful place I’ve ever visited, but what made the experience extraordinary was the people. Mohammad and Hussein, our guide, showed my friend and me so much genuine hospitality through long conversations about Wadi Rum and Bedouin culture and history over many cups of Jordanian tea. Our trip to Jordan was on a student budget so this was the splurge of the trip, and I’m happy with our choice because I think it is a great value for what it includes- an all day private Jeep tour with a fantastic English-speaking guide, comfortable private accommodation in a gorgeous location, an unforgettable stop for watching the sunset over the desert, three big delicious home-cooked meals, sandboarding, transport to and from the village, etc. Also, we are two young female travellers and I was a bit nervous about safety (the whole ‘being in the desert in a foreign country’ thing), but Mohammad replied very quickly and politely to my many messages with more details about the accommodation, etc, and even offered to get me in touch with another tour operator that was run by a couple (so 1/2 by a woman). I am so glad that I decided to stick with Magic tours though because I felt extremely safe the entire time. I can’t recommend Wadi Rum Magic Tours enough, and my friend and I hope to return to Jordan to spend a few more days exploring Wadi Rum with them soon. Thank you so much for everything Mohammad and Hussein!
A great experience that we’ll never forget!
If you are planning a trip through Jordan, you should definitely stop off in Wadi Rum and be enchanted by the beauty of the desert and the incredible Bedouin hospitality. We stayed 3 nights in 11/2018 at the camp and that was an unforgettable experience! The camp is very well located, very clean and small. The ideal place to enjoy the silence of the desert. During the tours, our guide Salem showed us the most beautiful and unique places in Wadi Rum and spoiled us with wonderful home-cooked food. In the evening at the campfire we ate, danced and laughed together. We learned a lot about life in the desert and about the Bedouins. Everyone was eager to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Mohammed responded perfectly to our wishes and needs. We didnt miss anything. We were completely happy and can absolutely recommend the tours and the camp! Thank you Mohammad for sharing this experience. We have found friends for life. We will definitely come back again.
